About Us

Bridgend YFC was founded in 1942 and is a youth organisation for 10 to 26 year olds, based in Bridgend, South Wales. The club calendar includes a variety of competitions and social events suitable for all (whether you are from a farming background or not!) giving you the opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills.

The members meet every Tuesday @ 7.30pm at Cefn Cribbwr Sports and Social Club (formerly The Royal British Legion Club). When we're not holding a business meeting we're out and about enjoying bowling, trips to the cinema, rock climbing, golf, ice skating...and many more social activities!

Celebrating 70 years of Bridgend YFC

Bridgend YFC celebrated 70 years of the club at their 70th Anniversary Dinner and Dance held on Saturday 26th May 2012 at The Liberty Stadium, Swansea. An impressive 400+ guests attended the event, who enjoyed entertainment from harpist Gwenllian Price, guest speaker William Pritchard (a dairy farmer from Pembrokeshire), and live band  'SOUL'D OUT' (made up of young farmers from Gwent YFC). The raffle was a great success with prizes including tickets to watch Ospreys Rugby and travel with Arriva Trains Wales.
A very big thankyou goes to the Club President Jeffery Howells, Club Chairman Christina Jones and the members of the Advisory Commitee, who without which this special occasion would not have been possible.  A special thankyou goes to former Club President Ann Williams for contributing such a lovely celebration cake to mark this club milestone. Last but by no means least, a huge thankyou goes to our sponsors and those who have supported Bridgend YFC throughout the year. Your contributions are much appreciated. For those guests who did not have the opportunity to purchase professional photographs on the night, please visit the
Daf Keyse Photography website. Let's hope we see another 70 years and beyond of Bridgend and District YFC!!!!

This year we will be celebrating our 75th Anniversary.
